Kajiyama was driving around Tamatori, a small village located in the Shizuoka prefecture, between Kyoto and Tokyo, surrounded by green tea plantations and rice fields, when he came across an elderly woman farming, and decided to approach her. When he was unable to find anything that met his requirements, Kajiyama decided to shift his search to include the growing number of abandoned homes in the country.Īs younger people ditch rural areas in pursuit of jobs in the city, Japan’s countryside is becoming filled with “ghost” houses, or “akiya.”Īccording to the Japan Policy Forum, there were 61 million houses and 52 million households in Japan in 2013, and with the country’s population expected to decline from 127 million to about 88 million by 2065, this number is likely to increase. “I had a vision.”ĭaisuke and Hila Kajiyama transformed an abandoned farming residence in Japan into a guesthouse. “I wanted to have a traditional house in the countryside,” Kajiyama tells CNN Travel, explaining that he was determined to find two houses located next to each other, so that he and Hila could live in one, while the other would be a guesthouse that they’d run together. He also happened to have his heart set on a traditional Japanese house, typically known as kominka, which are usually passed down over generations. To start with, Kajiyama had very little money to speak of after years of globetrotting around destinations like Korea, Taiwan, India, Nepal, Guatemala, Cuba and Canada. However, there were a couple of major stumbling blocks in their way. In 2011, Kajiyama arrived back in Japan with his Israeli partner Hila, who he met in Nepal, and the pair set about finding the perfect location for their future venture. He’d spent years backpacking around the world, and Japanese traveler Daisuke Kajiyama was finally ready to return home to pursue his long-held dream of opening up a guesthouse. However, both are unaware that even as they hunt ghosts, they, in turn, are stalked by an evil spirit that was the cause of Hyun-ji's accident, and also the reason of why Bong-pal can see ghosts. Working and living together Bong-pal, a long time loner because of his spirit sight, finds himself falling in love with Hyun-ji, and she also likes him. With Hyun-ji as his partner, Bong-pal finds that he can fight even stronger ghosts, but also learns that not all ghosts are malevolent, that with the understanding of a ghost's story he can sometimes more simply help them pass into the next world. In order to be freed from endlessly wandering the earth as a ghost and to ascend to the next life, Hyun-ji convinces Bong-pal to allow her to live with him and the two become ghost fighting partners. The two accidentally kiss and Hyun-ji discovers that Bong-pal holds the secret as to why she is a spirit. Called to a haunted school he encounters Kim Hyun-ji (Kim So-hyun) a feisty middle high-school student who, because of a traffic accident, became a wandering spirit the day before her college entrance exams. Park Bong-pal (Ok Taec-yeon) has grown up with ability to see ghosts and uses this ability to work as an exorcist, banishing ghosts, but only weak ones, in order to make enough money to take away his ability to see ghosts.

9/3/2023 0 Comments Medida de una tazaAustralian tablespoon is about ⅔ of an ounce, 4 teaspoons, and is standardized to be 20 milliliters. A UK tablespoon is about 17.7 milliliters when the teaspoon is 5.9 milliliters, and 15 when the teaspoon is 5. Therefore, a metric tablespoon is 15 milliliters. Tablespoons in the UK, Canada, Japan, South Africa, and New Zealand are also defined as three teaspoons. US tablespoon is three teaspoons, ½ of an ounce, about 14.7 milliliters, or 1/16 of a US cup. The volume of a tablespoon, commonly abbreviated as tbsp, also varies by geographical region. A milliliter is often used as well it is 1/1000 of a liter or one cubic centimeter. One liter of water at 4℃ is very close in mass to 1 kilogram. It is equal to the volume of a cube with edges 10 centimeters long, yielding:ġ liter = 10 cm × 10 cm × 10 cm = 1000 cubic centimeters LitersĪ liter is also a common unit in the metric system. Derivatives of a cubic meter such as cubic centimeters are also used. It is defined as the volume of a cube that has edges of one meter in length. The base SI unit for volume is the cubic meter. Therefore, the volume of one- and two-dimensional objects such as points and lines is zero. While length is a two-dimensional quantity, volume is a three-dimensional one. It could also mean the space inside a container that is available for occupation. Now, as exercise for you, Dear Reader, do you order a vaso or copa vino tinto (or is it rojo, given the other is vino blanco)?Īdded much later: And Antonio Banderas singing the famous song, Morena De Mi Corazón, uses copa simply to mean a drink.Volume is the amount of space that is occupied by a substance or an object. In Germany, for breakfast, you want a portion (which is kinda pronounced, ports-zee-own) which is just a small pot brought to the table with a tasse, so about the small amount as a nice mug of coffee at a truck stop in the US. Now, just for fun, this sounds like the German word, tasse, which is a cup of coffee, but as I learned on my bike trip this isn’t the right amount for breakfast (you get a demitasse (which amusingly in Spanish is tacita, see the connection to taza, like hermanito is to hermano). So, as Keenan’s book discusses ordering a copa de café will probably get a confused look (as in the breakfast place) or an alcoholic drink (with some coffee liqueur) in a place with a bar. IOW, a copa is usually the serving container for alcoholic drinks, not hot coffee. But the common expression (which Google Translate gets right), ir de copa does mean go for a drink. copa, OTOH, often looks like a wine goblet, or sometimes like a cocktail glass (some menus I’ve seen use this word for desserts ( postres) and the pictures often look like martini glasses with a luscious dessert. So taza is the traditional coffee cup we know and love, usually with the typical handle IOW, rather specific shaped to handle coffee (or té, yes the obvious cognate of tea). I’ve also seen on menus copa de helado which took a little work to also discover copa can mean bowl, although says this translation applies in the context of a toilet bowl! So it seems (from pictures I saw on websites that also had text of copa de helado this is just a scoop of ice cream in a typical ice cream serving dish, which in fact, looks like the typical cup a copa really is. You’ll probably be understood with “school” (second-language) Spanish but you may get a better reception the closer you can come to native speaking customs.īoth taza and copa have one short definition of ‘cup’, although only copa says glass as well (which really should be vaso). The purpose of this book is to go beyond what one learns in class (or Duolingo) and also from casual dictionaries (both and Oxford (now /es) have sufficiently robust definitions that careful reading would supply the distinction I’ll explain) and speak more like native Spanish speakers. Well, actually I found out, not by looking at menus but from a fun little book, Breaking Out of Beginner’s Spanish, by Joseph J. Go figure!īut the obvious cognate copa is actually wrong, for this purpose. Yes it turns out, except an accent really is needed ( café), even though a café (the eating establishment) is also café even though we’d spell it cafe in the US. Google translates “cup of coffee” to taza de cafe? Os X Lion Free Download Features of Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 You can also Download Mac OSX Lion v10.7.4DMG Free. In summary, OS X Lion 10.7.5 got all the necessary tools and features to provide more creative, secure and powerful working environment to its users. This update also brings improved Wi-Fi reliability for the iMac. Loin users now enable automatically logging into a NIS account. Another enhanced features in new Lion that most of the users love is full-screen mode. It’s basically an iteration of Expose, the desktop-management tool that shrinks and spreads the applications all over the screen so users can switch between them easily. In the new updated version of OS X Loin 10.7.5 now advanced interface-related feature included that is Mission Control, which has nothing to do with the iPad. Airdrop is supported on the following Mac models:MacBook Pro (late 2008 or newer), MacBook Air (late 2010 or newer), MacBook (late 2008 or newer), iMac (early 2009 or newer), Mac Mini (mid-2010 or newer), Mac Pro (early 2009 with AirPort Extreme card and mid-2010 or newer).Īn amazing update in this version is improved Apple’s screen management tool.Mac OS X 10.6.6 or later (Mac OS X 10.6.8 is recommended).x86-64 CPU (64 bit Macs, with an intel core 2 duo, Intel core i5, intel core i7, or processor.). Rather, the working framework was said to be accessible only as a download from the Mac App Store for US$29.99. Apple did not at first report any physical media circulation for Lion, for example, a lot of CD-ROMs or a DVD-ROM as utilized for past discharges. While some external hard drives will crash with no warning at all, many will show signs of trouble before they fall apart. If a crash has already happened, contact us to schedule external hard drive recovery services in New York City today. Serious electrical issues can damage the hard drive just as much as impacts.Īs you can see, building your knowledge base around how an external hard drive can fail can be a great asset in ensuring that your data is protected if a crash does occur. Such issues may range from a warning to a full breakdown where the data cannot be accessed. The good news is that this is more of a software issue that may be corrected and even prevented with regular maintenance.Įlectronic: This is when electrical surges, overheating, or failure to use grounded outlets causes an electrical issue within the hard drive itself. This often means that a collection of data fragments that has been corrupted will cause the hard drive to not work at peak efficiency. Logical: This is when the data is corrupted, deleted accidentally, or other errors that are not electronic or physical in nature. In addition, moving parts can also wear out and you’ll hear that with clicks, whirs, or other noises that precedes the crash. It does not take much of an impact to damage them to the point where the data they store is lost. Physical: Hard drives, both external and internal have moving parts. While all three ways are different, they can have the same effect of not letting you access the data. There are three basic ways that a hard drive can fail, physical, logical, and electronic. Though Data Recovery 47 offers effective external hard drive recovery services, it’s also important to understand how external hard drives can fail, and learn how to protect yourself from a crash. When an external hard drive fails, it can seem like your important data is lost forever. 9/3/2023 0 Comments Kodi emby clientSince there is no Kodi on Roku I use Emby app for it but I'd like to use the better playback and skins of Kodi in other clients). (the clients I will be using are Nvidia Shield, Roku Tv and Fire Stick 4K. I know a lot of this is probably related to Kodi itself but any help would be appreciated since I obviously want to use Emby as my server. So I'm ok with an opinionated setup which will work well and can use the full power of Emby + Kodi. I have a really large library, in the past I've tried to do this and ended up getting frustrated, trying different skins each of which has their own way to config the menu, reset each time etc. mapping keys to exit playback on back etc) setting up all the Emby libs and automatic detection and update (how does Emburary do this, is it coded into the skin?) Of course there are instructions in the various wiki's but I'm looking for a full guide that would cover all of the following.
9/3/2023 0 Comments Reil ezburnerI dare say that despite its size designation, the ID also is not 1/8 inch. So the outside dimension of a NPT 1/8 inch nipple is actually. This because they are not the size they are named. It was complex for me using inches my whole life, so it is an additional complication for someone in the metric world. I note that you mention the jet pipe as 1/4 inch. most of the articles I've read on it show it working very well just as shown in the above drawing. I think many who use the 3/4 mixing tube and a 3/4 to 1.5 reducer as the intake, have a means of choking the intake are to tune the burner. since this is seen as an improvement, over the original which strapped it to the exterior, there is enough free space around the jet pipe to allow air. presumably as close fitting to the 1/8 inch nipple you use for the jet pipe, so it dictates where the jet will sit. Good luck, have fun, and stay safeĬopesy, I didn't mean to say I knew the exact measurement for the placement of the jet, but that if you do the Bordeaux modification you drill the mounting hole just inside the thick rim of the big end of the reducer. I hope that detail helps you chase down the right answers. I am still tweaking mine to work optimally, but based on a lot of reading I completed prior to this fabrication, the experts show an expansion on the south end of the burner to create a Venturi effect. What I am illustrating is the concept and not an optimal design. The black indicate male.Ī I am brand new to these builds and have only built one dual burner. But if you look at the flare on the end, you can see an example of going from a 3/4” nipple to a 1 1/4” or 1 1/2” flare. I just built this and it is my first burner. I am not suggesting you use this as your model. I know there are expert level burner makers on this forum, but I wanted to share what I saw. The flame exits on the 1 1/4” outlet and that expansion is what is necessary for the effect to create pressure and extend the flame out the end. So if that nipple is 3/4” (sorry for imperial, but I am US), you want the reducer turned around to go from 3/4” nipple to a 1 1/4” or 1 1/2” outlet. If you use this model and compare to your design, the end flare is what I think you are missing. I will find a pic and post of what I am describing By reducing, I believe it will constrict, but what you want is to constrict and then expand so it will pull air from the top. I am also new, but the Venturi design requires the end to flare and not reduce. The range jetted for Butane actually seems to give the best results when running on Propane in forges (without a secondary air supply). The best advice I can give is to google, and buy, a Long-Venturi "Amal atmospheric injector" (usual disclaimer: I have no affiliation to them other than as a satisfied customer). ANY deviation from the documented design, however trivial, means that you have redesigned the burner and that you will need to make your new design work: not a problem if you understand burners, but the learning curve is steep and tends to be expensive in either time, money or both. The majority of the documented designs are for US fittings, making sourcing them in the UK a minor nightmare. You need to build EXACTLY to a "known good" burner design. 0-4 bar is overkill, but works and may be easier to find.ĭo not buy a 0.5-4 bar regulator: the lack of control at the bottom end makes it truly horrible to use once lit and unnecessarily exciting to light. Make sure it goes down to zero. Again, these use a fixed-low-pressure regulator, 37 mbar for Propane, and are no use to us) and an adjustable regulator to suit. You NEED a Propane cylinder with a screw-in connection (there are also clip-on cylinders like the Butane ones. The "this" link in your post seems to return to this thread.īutane regulators are, to the best of my knowledge, 28 mbar fixed-pressure in the UK. Best to wait until you have the correct reducer though. 2/ Yes, but only because you are using Butane (I assume that's 0 degC, 32 degF?)Ĥ/ Probably: it certainly won't help. 9/3/2023 0 Comments Remotix rdpVersatile connectivity: Connects via VNC, Apple Screen Sharing, or RDP.File transfer: Easily move data between machines.Native App for every platform: Available for Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android & even tvOS.Unmatched performance: Play games & watch movies remotely using NEAR, a hardware-accelerated low-latency remote desktop protocol.Remotix is available as an On-Premise solution to provide maximum security for your data.
